Bears and Holiday Celebrations

A visit from our local bear wildlife specialist and his daughter gave us a sneak peek into the habits of our surrounding bears and what we should know about these fascinating animals.  We used blocks to build bear dens and even dressed up as bears.  Now we are in full holiday prep mode, making Kwanzaa chains, eating delicious latkes for Hanukkah and decorating some Christmas cookies in the bake shop.  Last but not least, we are creating our own wrapping paper design using pine needles and putting the last touches on our classroom Christmas tree.  Phew! Time to go into a torpor state with the bears.
